7-Day Protein Pack
4 - 70g Dry Meat has been a sacred delicacy for First Nations, Inuit, and Metis people since time immemorial."Pânsâwân" ("bahn-sa-wan") translates to thin sliced meat from the Cree (Nehiyaw) language. Traditionally, this meat was obtained after a successful hunt and was carefully dried and smoked for many days by the tribe's men and women, giving it that distinct flavor. The resulting Dry Meat is how our ancestors replenished themselves during the long, harsh Canadian winters.

I love this company but you have some work to do on your packaging- the large packages for Pemmican arrived but all the strips stuck together in one big ball of meat. I had to cut it into bite sized pieces with a sharp knife. When I get jerky it usually has a desicant package in it- not sure if it will help but something to consider. So far we have eaten the strawberry which was a bit weird- I love the saskatoon and pepper and will keep buying because of the purpose of the company but the price was too high for this quality.
Thank you for your honest feedback and for supporting our purpose—it truly means a lot to us. We’re sorry to hear about the packaging issue with your pemmican, and we agree it’s a good idea to look into different packaging solutions, such as desiccant packs, to help prevent the strips from sticking together. We’re glad you enjoyed the saskatoon and pepper flavours, and we appreciate your thoughts on pricing and quality—they help us continue to grow and improve.
One word! Delicious!!!
Thanks so much! One word back at you—Miigwetch! We're so glad you loved it!

HI I love my orders from this company. However the ones with no pepper are not my new favorite. I guess my pallet is a bit colonized but I do like the peppered ones and will remember to specify this next order.
Thank you so much for the kind words — we’re really glad to hear you’re enjoying your orders! And hey, no judgment at all — everyone’s palate is on its own journey 😄. The peppered ones definitely bring a nice kick, and we’ll be happy to get you set up with those next time.
Thanks again for your support — it truly means a lot to us!
I came across these products a year ago and planned to restock this spring, which i did because I love everything about thier pemmican and bison dry meat. I also decided I want to support local black and indigenous businesses over larger corporate mainstream ones for many reasons and the quality of what I buy has increased for doing so. Particularly with Mitsohs line. I love it because it taste clean, healthy and all the pemmican strip flavors are perfectly balanced. The Bison dry meat is also clean and has an almost light smokey flavor which is something I love alot, italmost feels like a special little ritual every time I eat it! It's also great if you have an active lifestyle with it being so high protein too, I like to bring it on bike rides for me and my partner as it packs easily. I also love that their product is sold in some stores in Canada like Goodness me, it's great to be able to buy as needed or stock up ordering online. I'm so glad they made this and wish them all the best success, you have a customer for life with me! ❤️

I write this review acknowledging that this is the traditional food of our Indigenous brothers and sisters who have been so gracious to share their bounty with us.
Wife, kids and I loved the pemmican. It went fast and not without a squabble. But no one seems to go after the dried meat. The texture is good in the mouth despite it seeming very dry to the hands. But I think the lack of salt or seasoning is what makes the flavor lack that umph that makes it crave-worthy.
Please take my criticism with a grain of salt and much love to you, your lands and your ancestors.
Hi there,
Thank you so much for your honest and respectful review — it truly means a lot to us. We’re so glad to hear your family loved the pemmican (even if it caused a little friendly squabble 😄)!
We also really appreciate your thoughtful feedback on the drymeat. You're absolutely right — our recipe stays true to traditional preparation, which means we don’t use added salt or seasoning. It’s a taste that reflects how our ancestors made and preserved food for survival, and we understand it can be a bit different from what people are used to today.
Your words were kind and received with gratitude. Thank you for taking the time to share, and for your love and support of our culture and products. We’re honored to share our traditions with you.
Warmest regards,
The Mitsoh Team
