MITSOH means “eat” in Cree

Indigenous Founded
Mitsoh Began With a Simple Question:
What if the food that sustained Indigenous communities for generations still has something powerful to offer today?
Rooted in Indigenous tradition and made for modern life, Mitsoh brings real, nourishing food back into everyday snacking. Food with history. Food with purpose. Food that connects people to something deeper than convenience.

The Story Behind the Snack
Ian didn’t set out to build a snack brand.
He was looking for a way back to something deeper. Food that meant something. Food that connected to family, culture, community, and the kind of strength that has carried Indigenous people for generations.
In a snack aisle full of fillers, shortcuts, and empty promises, Ian saw a chance to bring something different forward. Something rooted in tradition, but made for the way people live now.
Mitsoh was created to carry that story into everyday life through real ingredients, bold flavour, and food that actually sustains you.
For Ian, this has never been just about making snacks. It is about carrying something forward.
"I didn’t set out to build a brand. I was searching for purpose and a way to reconnect with my culture. Mitsoh became the way to carry that story forward."
— Ian, Founder

Rooted in Tradition
Long before protein bars and ultra-processed snacks, Indigenous communities made foods to sustain people through travel, work, hunting, winter, and everyday life.
Pemmican and dry meat were created with purpose. They were practical, nourishing, portable, and deeply connected to the land, and the people who made them.
Mitsoh carries that knowledge forward through bison pemmican, dry bison meat, and modern meat snacks made with the same respect for real food, purpose, and nourishment.
Real food. Deep roots. Made to keep going.
Three Ways to Taste the Story
Each Mitsoh snack carries the same standard: pasture-raised meat and simple ingredients. From pemmican to dry bison meat to grass-fed beef sticks, every product starts with purpose.

Pemmican Strips
What it is:
Pemmican is one of the original high-protein foods, traditionally made by combining dried meat with other sustaining ingredients to create food that could last, travel well, and provide real energy.
For generations, pemmican helped support Indigenous communities through long journeys, hard seasons, and everyday life. Mitsoh brings that idea into the modern world with a clean, simple version made from Canadian grass-fed bison, berries, maple syrup, smoke, sea salt, and pepper.
It’s not jerky, and it’s not a protein bar. It’s a deeply rooted food tradition reimagined as a bold, nutrient-dense snack for today.
What’s inside:
Bison, berries, maple syrup, smoke, and simple ingredients.
How it’s made:
Slow smoked and crafted to bring together lean protein, fruit, and natural sweetness in a portable snack.
Why it’s different:
It isn’t trying to copy a protein bar or jerky. It comes from something older, deeper, and uses Bison, the most nutrient-dense protein available.

Grass-Fed Beef Sticks
What it is:
Beef sticks are a protein-rich meat snack made from seasoned beef that is smoked, cooked, and packed for easy everyday eating.
Mitsoh takes that familiar snack and makes it with grass-fed beef, natural smoke, and a short list of straightforward ingredients. They’re savoury, satisfying, and easy to take with you, whether you’re heading to work, packing lunches, travelling, or looking for something with real substance between meals.
They’re not meant to be complicated. Just a clean, smoky beef snack made for modern life, without the fillers, fake stuff, or over-processed feel of conventional meat snacks.
What’s inside:
Mitsoh beef sticks are made with grass-fed beef and a simple blend of seasonings.
Why it’s different:
It gives people a familiar format, but with better ingredients, stronger intention, and nothing to question.

Dry Bison Meat
What it is:
A simple, traditional-style meat snack made with bison and smoke.
What’s inside:
Bison, seasoning, and no unnecessary extras.
How it’s made:
Sliced, seasoned, and smoked slowly to create a clean, deeply savoury snack.
Why it’s different:
It’s stripped back in the best way. No gimmicks, no fillers, just real bison meat, the most nutrient-dense protein available.
